Grant Application
Requirements

The Stevie Fever for ALS Foundation is committed to supporting families affected by ALS through the Steve Daly Compassionate Care Grant. To ensure that our grants are directed to those who need it most and align with our charitable mission, we require applicants to provide documentation confirming their ALS diagnosis.

Why We Ask for Documentation:

  1. Compliance and Accountability: As a registered charity, we are obligated to ensure that funds are used for their intended charitable purpose. Confirming that grant recipients have an ALS diagnosis helps us meet Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines and demonstrates our commitment to transparency.

  2. Fairness and Integrity: By verifying eligibility, we ensure that grants are distributed fairly and reach families genuinely impacted by ALS. This process reassures donors and supporters that their contributions are being used to assist those facing the challenges of this condition.

  3. Protecting the Foundation and Recipients: Collecting documentation safeguards against misuse of funds and supports a structured, reliable grant process that maintains the Foundation's reputation and the trust of our community.

What Documentation is Needed:

If you are awarded the Steve Daly Compassionate Care Grant, you must provide one of the following:

  • A Medical Letter or Doctor’s Note: A letter from a healthcare provider confirming an ALS diagnosis.

  • Official Diagnosis Report: If available, an official document from a healthcare provider that outlines the diagnosis of ALS.

  • ALS Society Registration: If the applicant is registered with an ALS organization, such as the ALS Society of Canada, proof of registration can be used as supporting documentation.

We aim to keep the application process as straightforward and accessible as possible while ensuring that we maintain compliance and protect the integrity of our grant program. If you have any questions about the required documentation or need assistance, please reach out to us directly.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us support families facing ALS with compassion and integrity.

About Our Grant

We look to support families affected by ALS. In a world where compassion can make all the difference, The Stevie Fever For ALS Foundation is proud to announce the initiation of the Steve Daly Compassionate Care Grant. This grant is specifically designed to extend financial support to families grappling with the challenges of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Our Compassionate Care Grant aims to alleviate some of the financial strains experienced by families affected by ALS. Whether it's covering bills, travel, or supporting other aspects of the family, we understand that every bit of assistance can make a meaningful impact. We are also in the business of sparking joy so there are no limits on what you may ask for. We can't help everyone,  but you deserve to be able to ask for whatever you want. It is one thing that won't hurt right now.

Application Process:

Families in need of support are encouraged to apply for the Steve Daly Compassionate Care Grant through our dedicated online portal. The application process is designed to be accessible and straightforward, ensuring that families can focus on what matters most—providing love and care to their affected family members.

The Struggles of ALS:

ALS not only takes a toll on the individuals diagnosed with the disease but also places significant emotional and financial burdens on their families. Daily life becomes an intricate dance of caregiving, medical expenses, and the quest for ways to enhance the quality of life for their loved ones battling this relentless condition. As a family who has been through this, we understand how complex it is. We also recognize that we were blessed in ways that others may not be. The unique hardships you face on top of an impossibly cruel terminal disease can make day-to-day life unbearable. We have initiated the Steve Daly Compassionate Care Grant to provide you with a little love and hope during these trying times.
